Blue Grass Community Foundation is excited to co-sponsor the eighth annual GoodGiving Challenge. We hope the 2018 Challenge will be our biggest yet! This year we have a new twist, condensing all the community generosity we can muster into just seven days of giving at BGgives.org. Great things happen in a giving community, and donating to your favorite causes has never been easier. Select your charities, grab your credit card or your checkbook (ACH payment is an option) and give online at BGgives.org starting at 9 a.m., Tuesday, November 27.

At the Community Foundation, we inspire and promote generosity, creating charitable giving opportunities that are fun, rewarding and effective. The GoodGiving Challenge is just one way we do this, and everyone is cordially invited to participate.

We sincerely thank 4,400+ donors who joined us last year. It’s due to the generosity of you — our neighbors, friends and partners — that since 2011, the GoodGiving Challenge has raised an amazing $8.5 million for local charities. With over 110 nonprofits in this year’s Challenge, the sky’s the limit on what we can raise by investing together for our community.

At the Community Foundation, endowment building is our core business. We know that endowment funds — permanent charitable capital — are investments in our community’s future. They are the best way to ensure a nonprofit’s sustainability since they provide yearly operating dollars in perpetuity. Endowments are a critical key to making sure the stellar nonprofits serving our community today will be here tomorrow and for generations to come. That’s why the Community Foundation is offering $30,000 in endowment prizes available on November 29. Look for this and other exciting nonprofit prizes and matching pools throughout the seven fun-filled days of the Challenge.  All you have to do is give generously (and often) to help your favorite nonprofit win.

Happy Giving,
